MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF DIGITAL IMAGES SYNTHESIZED BY MULTI-CHANNEL SCANNING SYSTEM OF DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY
(pp. 62-65)

Abstract. At the present stage of development of non-destructive radiation inspection and technical diagnostics an entire scientific and technical direction called digital radiography was formed. Range of tasks that can be solved using digital radiography is very large and diverse and includes, in particular, the detection and recognition of local inhomogeneities in the test object. In this paper we examined (as one of the most promising) the scanning system of digital radiography with the following structure: a source of photon radiation – a slit source collimator– an object of the control – a slit collimator of radiation detectors – a line of radiation detectors – time integrators – analog-to-digital converters – a computer – a halftone display. Under the assumption of a continuous movement (scanning) of the control object and using of analog mode of radiation detection, the mathematical model of the primary digital image synthesized by the system is presented. The presented model takes into account the possibility of using the source systems with an anisotropic angular distribution and using detectors with inhomogeneous spatial sensitivity.

Keywords: mathematical model, testing object, digital radiography, scanning system, digital image.
