Kostenko K.V. Abstract. While determining the coordinates of a group of pulse sources, triggered simultaneously or followed at short intervals, one can face a violation of pulses arrival order to spaced apart sensors. The developed algorithm is intended for automatic association of pulses arrival time delays from a group of sources with system sensors in accordance to pulses belonging to each source. The coordinates of sources can then be calculated on the basis of these lists of time delays by triangulation. The basic principle of the algorithm is sequential testing of a set of time delays for incorrect delays by two basic filtering algorithms. The first is based on an analysis of exceeding the maximum possible value of a time delay, and it is fast, but at the same time coarse filter rejecting delays that are significantly different from the others in a set. The second is based on the fact of not achieving the desired value by the function being minimized, and allows to identify inappropriate delays in a set with a great likelihood. The results of a statistical test of the algorithm quality and the results of testing the algorithm on a field test data confirm its effectiveness. Keywords: time delays, association of time delays, impulse source, source coordinates, group of sources, filtration algorithm.
