Abstract. It is executed the imitative (conditional) simulation of basic characteristics of a normal linear probe with the phased array in the radiation condition at the ultrasonic technique of objects made of austenitic steels in the terms of inaccurate input data indispensable for focusing. The similar situation is possible when there are no sufficient items of information on the radial propagation paths of the signals, which are radiated each member of an array in the conditions of refraction, and also a lack of information about a change along the pathways of the value of a group velocity which is dependent on the propagation direction of an acoustic wave in the anisotropic medium. The wave velocity varied randomly during simulation. Related changes of a shape of the directivity pattern of the converter and the amplitude of its signal along the acoustic axis were examined.
