Kireev A.N. Abstract. The work solved an actual scientific and technical problem of improving the diagnosis of welded structures of the vehicle-railway rolling ultrasonic echo technique. Improvement is achieved by the transition to a new process calibration of sensitivity of the ultrasound equipment on the standard sample SB-1. Developed method allows for setting a sample SO-1 to take into account the size of the threshold value of the standard flat-bottomed cylindrical reflector. The value is defined according to the technical requirements to the object of control. The method is based on the mathematical apparatus produced experimentally-theoretical way. The software NDTRT-06.01 is developed to automate the calculations when setting the sensitivity of ultrasound equipment.
