Kulak S.M., Novikov V.F. Abstract. Еру Complicated stress state of steel structures and constructions is determined by the combined influence on them of the loads and impacts expressed by the value ofequivalent stress. In the steel pipelines or other filled vessels, this state depends on the action of the orthogonal circular and longitudinal axial stresses caused by the internal pressure, its own weight, the temperature changes, the subsidence and frost heave ground, the prestressing. This article is devoted to investigation of the magnetoelastic demagnetization in the steel cylinders experiencing the orthogonal deformations from the internal pressure and the external longitudinal stretching. It is shown that a variation of the lateral deformation of steel allows to measure the value of its longitudinal stresses using magnetoalastic memory. It is offered the way of control of the longitudinal axial mechanical stresses of the steel pipes on the magnitude of the magnetoelastic demagnetization caused by the variation of internal pressure. The proposed method does not require measurements of the initial value of the stray magnetic field strength of the local magnetization of steel in its unloaded state. Keywords: steel construction, demagnetization, local magnetization, mechanical stresses, the metered unloading.
