Samoilov D.V., Shora O.I., Kosareva A.S., Martynov S.А. Abstract. New opportunities of stationary on-line systems are reviewed. The approach for organizing the permanent monitoring of the technical condition of pipelines is offered, namely: determination of the residual wall thickness of the base metal in the chemical, petrochemical and refining industries. This concept assumes installation of the stationary on-line system ultrasonic thickness gauging in particularly critical points of the tubing during routine repair work. Obtaining the continuous and reliable information about the technical condition of the pipeline allows to plan the timing of the repair work, and this feature, in combination with other proposed control methods, enables to justify the concept of the time overhaul intervals increase, significantly increasing the economic efficiency of refinery production. Keywords: high temperature ultrasonic thickness measurement, piezoelectric transducer, waveguide, acoustic coupling, wireless data transfer, software and hardware, monitoring, an increase in the time of overhaul intervals.
