THE FORMULAS OF AN ACOUSTIC CHANNEL OF THE DIRECT DUAL PROBE FOR DIFFERENT REFLECTORS
(pp. 11-24)

Abstract. The article is devoted to designing the model of an acoustic channel of a base signal of direct dual probe of longitudinal waves with different parameters of radiating and reception of parts and demonstration of some capabilities of influencing on sensitivity of the probe on different distances by change of these parameters. Usage of a method of mirror-image presentations of the receiving part of dual probe concerning the lower boundary of a layer allows to resolve a problem of calculation of an acoustic channel of this probe to reviewed for a case of a layer. The method of a fixed phase in a farfield region obtains the approximated (asymptotic) formula used in calculations. The capabilities of sensitization of dual probes on different distances are demonstrated by change of different parameters. For the inverter with the same parameters of the emission and reception of received acoustic path the formulas are obtained for several types of reflectors – a side of the cylindrical hole, the endless strip, a circular flat-bottomed hole, and others. Theoretical and experimental results of relation of amplitude of a registered signal from range up to the reflector is conducted for a cylindrical hole.

Keywords: dual probe, longitudinal wave, piezoplate, wedge angle, focal point, near field, bottom echo, directivity characteristic, probe axis, side drilled hole, flat bottom hole.
