Suvorov S. V. Abstract. Some features of the algorithm of processing signals treated as uncentered random variables are considered. The number of random counts required for an adequate identification of the present test component and the resulting desired accuracy are compared. It is shown that for the desired accuracy of a sample of larger size is needed which determines the amount of time spent on a single measurement. A criterion for comparing averages and statistical averaging of multiple counts to improve the measurement accuracy is used. A recursive algorithm for the input samples processing that leads to the reduction of RAM is proposed. The criterion is chosen which enables zero readings while processing ambiguous samples. The presented results may be useful in the formation of signal processing algorithm ensuring the desired accuracy of the measurement results of a gas analyzer which selects the spectrum operating parts by a set of infrared interference filters. Keywords: аbsorption gas analysis, low concentrations measurement, algorithm features, probabilistic approach, variation ratio.
