Yusupbekov N. R., Adilov F. T., Astafurov M. F. Abstract. The article deals with experience in commissioning (including on-the-spot machine assembling; coupling with other production line nodes) and providing the technical support (equipment examination; routine maintenance; hardware calibration, as well as writing, debugging and optimization of automatic and semi-automatic CNC-programs for workpiece parameters measurement; engineering and technical personnel / operators training) to ensure uninterrupted operation of metrology equipment located on crankshafts, cylinder heads and blocks production lines, as well as technical quality control laboratory equipment at GM Powertrain – Uzbekistan plant, Tashkent in order to improve product quality and increase the rate of production. Metrology equipment should be read as contacting and non-contacting (optical method) type metering unit for manufacturable workpiece handling quality key parameters measurement – roughness, linearity, angle values, parallelism, material ratio, as well as for revolved solids – cylindricity, coaxiality, axial and radial runout, etc. Metering units are also equipped with integrated software for automatic statistical key figures collection and consolidated plant database establishment – Q-DAS, combined with software and hardware for workpiece’s QR-codes scanning and recognition. Keywords: quality control, automatic roughness measurement tools, technical maintenance activity, uninterruptable operation, productivity enhancement.
