Danilov V. N., Voronkova L. V. Abstract. Features of the influence of the acoustic delay on the signal shape normal and angle beam probes with a linear phased array This is the second article of a series of publications on transducers with phased array (TPA), in which virtually no formulas are given. It gives a simple description of the physical basics of operation of such transducers, peculiarities of forming of signals of normal and angle PFR with linear arrays in the presence of acoustic delays that affect their performance. The article, focused on the specialists of all skill levels, is shown the effect of a change in amplitude of the emitted TPA signal along the acoustic axis, the shape of the directivity characteristic , the size of the near zone and so one. Keywords: angle linear transducer, phased array, acoustic delay, focus distance, directivity characteristic, the angle of entry, of the piezoceramic plates, the acoustic axis.
