Samsonovich S. L., Goryunov R. V. Abstract. The creation of a technique for diagnosing large-sized objects that have not been in operation for a long time is an important scientific and practical task. There are methods for diagnosing large-sized devices: on site; at the factory; the method of diagnosing dismantled units and assemblies on test benches. When diagnosing serial large-sized products, specialized diagnostic tools (SDT) are usually produced, and the diagnosis is carried out at the installation site. The problems of diagnosing a large-size non-serial rotary-drive device (RDD) of an antenna system for a long time not exploited are considered. Analysis of the literature made it possible to compile an algorithm for research: 1) analysis of the composition of the device. Definition of diagnosed elements; 2) classification of elements by group; 3) planning work. Construction of network graphs (NG), definition of SDT; 4) calculation of NG parameters; 5) analysis of the obtained NG parameters; 6) simulation of kinematic accuracy; 7) accept a decision on the choice of research method. When developing network graphs to assess the complexity, it is necessary to use analogs, or objects of technology in composition close to the device under study. These data significantly affect the reliability of calculations. Analysis of the composition allowed us to establish that all structural units of polyurethane foam are composed of the same type of devices, which can be classified according to their functional characteristics: supporting structures (supporting structures and bearing bearings); mechanical devices (reducers, brake devices, couplings); information electromechanical devices (information sensors, rotating transformers); power electromechanical devices (electric motors, electromagnets). Diagnostics of large-scale non-serial devices can be performed both at the installation site and by diagnosing dismantled units and assemblies. For devices consisting of supporting structures, mechanical and electromechanical elements, it is advisable to use this technique. It is proposed to consider a group of similar elements as independent devices. This makes it possible to use methods that diagnose the elements, which are advantageous because of the specifics of this group. The application of network planning methods allowed at the stage of diagnostic work preparation to make a decision on the expediency of using in the project various research methods, determine the number and composition of technical diagnostic tools, and minimize the costs of conducting it. It should also be noted that to increase the reliability of the network charts being developed, their parameters, it is suggested to use analogues and objects of technology in composition close to the studied. Since these parameters have a significant effect on the reliability of calculations. Investigation of the influence of corrosion processes should be carried out by modeling. Keywords: method of diagnosis, technical diagnostics, specialized diagnostic tools, network graph, kinematic accuracy.
