POSSIBILITY DECREASING THE TEMPERATURE ERROR OF DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS
(pp. 54-56)

Abstract. Operative and accurate detection of location and time of occurrence and level of gravity of hydrocarbons leaks from main pipelines is an important task of SCADA type systems designated for gathering the diagnostics information and carrying out the control of condition of hydrocarbons transportation system. The occurrence of losses of hydrocarbons mass due to leaks at some part of pipeline leads to generation of acoustic signals used as a basis for detection of location, time and level of gravity of leaks. It is shown that in existing realizations of SCADA systems in regime of leaks detection the impact of temperature on accuracy of location is somewhat disregarded. The carried out analysis does show that if the interval of installation of temperature sensors prevails on interval of installation of acoustic sensors in regime of leaks location the temperature error of SCADA system may reach the significant value. The new order for selection of elements of pairs of measuring sensors used for determination of differences between the time intervals of reaching the acoustic signals of these sensors is suggested. According to the new order of sensors selection the both sensors of the pair should be located in left or in right of the leak point. The mathematical grounding of suggested method is given and decrease of temperature error is estimated.

Keywords: temperature error, acoustic waves, leaks, hydrocarbons, main pipelines, SCADA systems.
