Rodushkin V. M., Berezin E. K. Abstract. The article describes the principle of detection of bundles between a layer of antifriction material (AO20-1) and a steel base. The control procedure is described when the area of the bundle is less than the cross-sectional area of the ultrasonic beam. The technique of quality control of the connecting rod liner of diesel engines brand Г60, where as a diagnostic sign of the presence of the delamination area of 25 % of the cross-section of the ultrasonic beam, the proposed equality of the reflected pulses displayed on the screen of the flaw detector. The control of the liner on the outside with direct ultrasound input from the steel base is considered. The spatial-temporal course of the probing beam is modeled. The difference between the pulse amplitudes, measured in the flaw detector in dB, characterizing the presence of a bundle on the cross-sectional area of the ultrasonic beam due to the normalization of the amplitude of the probing beam does not depend on the compression force of the transducer, the state of acoustic contact and other factors due to the level of the probing pulse. The technique is characterized by increased stability of control readings. Keywords: quality, ultrasonic control, insert, reflection coefficient, technique.
