MODERN DEFECTOSCOPY MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND PROCESS AUTOMATION OF NON-DESTRUCTIVE PENETRANT TESTING
(pp. 52-57)

Abstract. There has been conducted a research of modern automated complexes for fluorescent penetrant inspection. On an automated complex during the liquid penetrant inspection there has been evaluated the possibility of using defectoscopic materials of Russian origin, their corroding ability to be activated in relation to domestically produced aluminium and titanium alloy and steel. The technique of applying modern defectoscopic materials of Russian origin with the features of equipment has been developed. Furthermore, the work, that has been carried out, has permitted to improve the quality of fluorescent penetrant testing, to reduce the share of manual labor by automating processes and to reduce human factor when assessing the quality of details of responsible appointment, to use presentday defectoscopic materials of Russian origin with lower fire risks and toxic level.

Keywords: nondestructive testing, penetrant testing, defectoscopy materials, automation of penetrant testing.
