Korolev A. I. A Abstract. The optical method is proposed for shock diagnostics. The method consists in the photoregistration of displacement of fluorescent marks applied to the surface of the object under study at specified locations. The excitation of fluorescence is provided by illuminating the marks with the UV lamp. The modules of the displacement vector obtained from the images of the tracks provide information about the behavior of object at a shock and about its mechanical properties. The stepwise torsion of the nut on the rod under the action of multiple shocks was discovered and investigated. A shock excitation of the low-frequency resonance in the elastic sickle fixed on the rod was revealed. The horizontal displacement of the massive body over the surface of PU foam sheet was investigated. The vertical displacement of the body, fixed on the foam, during the falling of the shock table was analyzed. Keywords: shock diagnostics, photographic method, ultraviolet radiation, fluorescence, blur image.
