EXPERIENCE IN IMPLEMENTING THE 5S SYSTEM AT THE BRIDGE METAL STRUCTURES PLANT

Abstract. The experience of implementing lean manufacturing at the bridge construction plant, which was started with the introduction of the 5S system in one of the structural divisions of the enterprise, is considered. For the implementation of the 5S-office system, the cabinet of the masters of the assembly welding workshop was chosen. The stages of implementing the 5S system were considered: sorting, maintaining order, keeping clean, standardization and improvement, as well as the content of work at each stage. As a result of the consistent execution of all planned works, losses arising in the process of documentation management in Workshop No. 2 were identified and analyzed; measures were developed to improve and optimize documentation management in the masters' office, taking into account the specifics of the work performed. This made it possible to restore order in the workplace, organize a storage system for design documents and consumables used by the employees of the workshop, create comfortable conditions for he effective work of the staff.
