THREE-FREQUENCY METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE EQUIVALENT SIZE OF THE DISCONTINUITY DURING MANUAL ULTRASOUND CONTROL
(pp. 65-70)

Abstract. The work is devoted to topical issues of increasing the reliability and informativeness of the results of manual ultrasonic inspection of parts and assemblies of technical objects. The paper presents a three-frequency method of ultrasonic flaw detection, which makes it possible to increase the reliability of the non-etalon method for determining the type of discontinuity detected as a result of ultrasonic testing. The developed method makes it possible to determine the type of discontinuities of various types. The NDTRT-26 software product has been developed to automate calculations using the three-frequency method.

Keywords: diagnostics, non-destructive testing, ultrasonic testing, echo pulse method, flaw detection, piezoelectric transducer, discontinuity, equivalent size.
