EDDY CURRENT QUALITY CONTROL OF THIN-WALLED REFRACTORY ALLOY PIPES (pp. 29-37)
Abstract. The experience of non-destructive quality control of thin-walled pipes of small diameter from a refractory non-magnetic alloy based on eddy current and X-ray television methods is considered. An analysis of the signal of an eddy current differential transducer during scanning of defects of various types was performed. The possibility of detecting and classifying such pipe defects as cracks, pores, local wall thinning, and ferromagnetic inclusions is shown.
Keywords: non-destructive testing, eddy current method, X-ray television method, pores, cracks, thinning, inclusion, small diameter pipes.
