CRITERIA FOR THE OPTIMAL MODE OF NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING BY DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY
(pp. 4-14)

Abstract. Theoretically justified and experimentally confirmed criteria for the selection of modes and parameters of digital radiography control. The analysis of the digital image quality showed its dependence on the parameters and control modes, on the value of the signal-to-noise ratio. Analytical information was obtained a relationship linking the size of the defect in the plane perpendicular to the axis of the radiation beam, the size of the focal spot of the radiation source, the parameters of the control circuit and the pixel size of the detector system. The validity of the analytical expression has been confirmed experimentally.
