STATISTICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PARTIAL DISCHARGE AS THE DIAGNOSTIC SIGNS OF HIGH-VOLTAGE EQUIPMENT ISOLATION
(pp. 59-65)

Abstract. The results of experimental research and mathematical modelling of statistical characteristics of electrical noises caused by partial discharges in hight-voltage equipment isolation were analyzed. The fact that the statistical characteristics contain diagnostic information about the insulation of apparatus was shown. The device for hardware analysis of spectral density of electrical noise is proposed. To decrease the discrete components in the spectrum of the signal a counter connection of two identical partial discharge sensors, disposed on opposite sides relative to the axis of symmetry of the apparatus diagnosed at the same distance from it, is suggested. The mathematical model is designed for the diagnostics of high-voltage equipment with the help of electrical-noise methods. In order to confirm the adequacy of the proposed model for electrical noise in the insulation of the single-phase electrical power autotransformer the apparatus for the experimental study of the spectral density of electrical noise was invented.
