STRESS-STRAIN STATE OF METAL EVALUATING MAGNETIC TECHNIQUE PRACTICE IN TECHNICAL DIAGNOSTICS AND FORENSIC INSPECTION OF STEEL PARTS AND CONSTRUCTIONS
(pp. 54-61)

Abstract. Stress-strain state of metal evaluating magnetic technique application during the technical diagnostics and forensic inspection of steel parts and constructions using metal strain indicator IN-01m is considered. It is shown that high stressed state of steel parts and constructions metal may be caused by different sources: residual mechanical stress of metal as result of plastic strain; internal structural changes or phase transitions in metal; unacceptable deviations in elemental composition of metal, alloy. Practice of IN-01m application shows that if high stressed area of metal can be found and localized in steel part on residual magnetic field of metal, the cause of its appearance can be determined by carrying out additional researches including visual metallographic analysis, spectral analysis etc.

Keywords: magnetic parameter, mechanical strain, metal strain state, metal strain indicator, steel construction.
