Dvornikov S. S. Abstract. The article describes the known approaches to the synthesis of wideband radio signals to transmit information about the object being diagnosed. A comparative analysis of methods of forming wideband signals are disclosed its advantages and disadvantages of the approaches used methods of formation of broadband radio signals based on wavelets. It is reported the properties of the new class of signals and the results of computer simulation, confirming its high noise immunity with respect to broadband signals used in data transmission systems. It is given the recommendations on the practical application of wideband signals based on wavelets for data on diagnosed objects. Keywords: wavelet-function, broadband signals, noise immunity, bandwidth-duration product.
