Stepanova L. N., Ramazanov I. S., Chernova V. V. Abstract. The technique is developed for analysis of time-frequency structure of signals of acoustic emission (AE) using wavelet method. Evaluation of the modal composition of AE signals is performed using structural factor PD32( f ). The technique is tested by the analysis of the test results of ten samples from the three-layer composite material with a honeycomb core and bearing layers of carbon fiber. Clustering of AE signals on a set of basic parameters (dominant frequency, the number of oscillation, time and rate of the rise-up portion of AE signals) is done. Groups of AE signals registered in one time slot and localized either in the zone of the development of a fatigue crack or in the field of impact are separated. Keywords: signal, acoustic emission, structure, wavelet transform, defect, composite, carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP).
