Shelikhov G.S., Artemiev B.V., Glazkov Yu.A. Abstract. It is collated the physical principles of operation of Hall sensors. Two types of probes with Hall sensors in which the plane of the sensor is perpendicular or parallel to the longitudinal axis of the probe are used in non-destructive testing instruments for the measurement of magnetic field strength. It gives the methodical requirements to magnetization controlled facilities and location probes for measurements to minimize measurement errors. If it is impossible to comply these requirements, there is a simplified formula for engineering calculations and conversion readings. For example, such formula is used when measuring the magnetic field generated by the magnetized parts of complex shape, or items in the technical products with limited access.
