Budadin O.N., Kulkov A.A., Kozel'skaja S.O., Shchiptsov V.S. Abstract. The small-sized portable eddy current thickness gauge has been created. It provides a measurement of the thickness of dielectric curved-surface layers with an error not more than ±0.3 mm over the thickness range from 1 mm to 45 mm without changing the eddy current probe on an annular embedded element (outside diameter not exceeding 20 mm, inside diameter not less than 16 mm) between the layers. Technical data of the gauge have been verified by the certificate of calibration. Keywords: eddy current, thickness gauge, dielectric materials, embedded elements, polymeric composite materials, nondestructive testing.
