ANALYSIS OF USE OF THE SOFTWARE ENVIRONMENT FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS OF GAS OUTFLOW THROUGH SMALL HOLES
(pp. 41-48)

Abstract. This article discusses the possibility of using CAD-programs at the example of SolidWorks for calculation of gas flows and analysis of the characteristics of gas flow at the outlet of the leak. The analysis of the parameters of expiry for a number of classical models of leaks, such as pores and cracks is carried out. It is shown that the calculated values of the characteristic parameters are in good agreement with the experimental data. The relationships of parameters of gas expiring by means of through channel such as pressure drop, flow rate, temperatureare obtained in investigation. All parameters are distributed over the volume of the channel, thatallows to trace the nature of the flow and to determine the pointsin which the flow rate movesin the critical region. The obtained data allow us to use the software for mathematical mod-eling of gas flow by means of through defects in abody of vessels of various sizes.

Keywords: through defect, gas velocity, SolidWorks.
