A method for increasing the control accuracy of manufacturing of coatings of gas turbine engine blades is based on the analysis of the microstructure in the connection area of the main harvesting and coating layer. The method is based on the segmentation of the image and highlight all of the characteristic areas for the definition of irregularity connection area layers is based of fractal dimension. The advantage of this method in comparison compared with other methods of segmentation is shown. The results of the complex analysis are presented.
