INVESTIGATION OF THE DIRECT AND INVERSE PROBLEM OF THE VIBRATIONS OF AN HETEROGENEOUS ROD CONSISTING OF TWO DIFFERENT SEGMENTS

Abstract. This paper examines the problem of finding the boundary between two different segments of the rod on the natural frequencies of its free longitudinal vibrations. Analyzed the influence of the material properties of the rod on its natural frequencies. Some examples are also presented.

Keywords: vibrodiagnostics, heterogeneous rod, natural frequencies, modulus of elasticity, the wave velocity.
