SYMBOLIC CALCULATION EXTERNAL MAGNETIC FIELD OF CONTINUOUS STEEL PIPE INTO PERMANENT UNIFORM MAGNETIC FIELD
(pp. 15-24)

Abstract. The symbolic calculation of magnetic field of continuous steel pipe into applied permanent uniform magnetic field based on the magnetic scalar potential integrand approximation by harmonic functions is described. Evaluation of obtained symbolic expressions for continuous steel pipe magnetic field preciseness is performed on the basis of their comparison with exact expressions for magnetic field of infinite steel pipe existed, resulted that obtained symbolic expressions for continuous steel pipe magnetic field might be used in the practice of scientific and technical calculations. During the measure of magnetic field strength over steel pipe, it might be considered to be infinitely long it might length of steel pipe at least of 10 times exceeds the distance from axis of steel pipe to point of magnetic field measurement.

Keywords: steel pipe, magnetic field, magnetic scalar potential, approximation.
