APPLICATION OF COERCIMETRIC METHOD AT COMPLEX CONTROL OF OIL AND GAS PIPELINES

Abstract. Modern specialized eddy current flaw detectors and other non-destructive testing (NDT) device provide high operational reliability identifying operational defects in oil and gas pipelines. Measurement of pipes remaining wall thickness of pipes for diagnostics and repair works is other task may be solved by NDT. The decision of pipe prolongation offered based on the results of diagnostic resource calculations. In the paper the problem of determination the residual resource is described. The paper also proposed using coercimetry magnetic structurescope “MC-10” in addition to the ongoing diagnostics eddy current, EMA and magnetic particle NDT methods to improve the ac-curacy of estimation residual resource as well as the decision offered of increasing the pipeline operation life.
