AN ALGORITHM TO IMPROVE THE LOCATION ACCURACY OF CORRELATION LEAK DETECTION BASED ON THE ANALYSIS OF THE PHASE OF CROSS SPECTRUM

Abstract. A band selection algorithm to improve the location accuracy of correlation leak detection at low signal-to-noise ratio is implemented. The algorithm involves the determination of the frequency range in which the phase of cross spectrum is a sawtooth function and the subsequent narrow band filtering of the acoustic signals. Approbation during the testing of the pipelines of the district heating systems was successful. Absolute deviation was equal to 2...3 m.
