THE ULTIMATE STATE CONTROL OF MULTIBLADE CARBIDE TOOLS

Abstract. The method of active control of the state of precast multiblade carbide tool was developed. It allows fixing the failure of cutting plates in the tool kit. The algorithm of functioning of a subsystem of control and management of multiblade processing on CNC machines is presented. We offered to measure the value of the diagnostic signal thermopower of each cutting edge of a multiple tip tools continuously and compare it with a predetermined limit value to allow continuous monitoring of the state of the instrument and making management decisions. Conditions and criteria to ensure uptime multiple tip tools are formulated based on a probabilistic approach to the evaluation of resistance. Experimental studies showing the effectiveness of using the proposed method on an automated machine tools were conducted.
