Abstract. This paper proposes one of the most effective ways of using modern diagnostic tools and systems to efficiently and cost-effectively detect the fault and to determine on time the need in the current or overhaul of the timber-car. Developed mobile computer diagnostics system for logging vehicles meets all modern requirements for diagnostic systems, and contains a list of all the necessary diagnostic equipment. Technical diagnostics allows you to set the machine state at the moment, to predict the change in the state machine to determine the in-tended point of failure or to prevent it. The proposed method characterized by mobility and flexibility, as it allows the use of a complex not as a fixed station but like mobile complex. Deployment time from transport to working position is about 5 to 6 min. Universal mobile telecommunications system developed computer diagnostics logging car meets all modern requirements for diagnostic systems, and contains all the necessary diagnostic list of equipment for complete diagnostics of logging vehicles.
