THE STRUCTURE OF TYPE APPROVAL TESTS OF EDDY-CURRENT MENACE OF MEASUREMENTS OF FLAW GEOMETRICAL PARAMETERS

Annotation. The article shows the structure of type approval tests in the field of measurements of flaw geometrical parameters by eddy-current method, which includes: type approval tests, the system of voluntary certification of artificial flaw samples, the system of voluntary certification of measuring instruments and the system of voluntary certification of measuring instruments software. The type approval tests of a score of flaw detectors shown that the measurement of such flaw parameter as depth (from 0,1 to 5 mm) in certain width (from 0,05 to 1,5 mm) and length (not less than 5 mm) is assured. The minimum reached accuracy of flaw depth measurements is about 5 %
