Abstract. The main problem of the international community – to ensure safety of life of mankind. Technical diagnostics provides an answer to the question how to solve this problem. There are four areas of diagnostics – technological, environmental, health and anti-terrorism, covering all areas of hazards. The article provides an analysis of each of the areas and gives a generalized block diagram of technical diagnostics, consisting of the steps: control, measurement and testing.
