THE ORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF THERMAL CONTROL APPLICABILITY TO A 3-D POLYMER COMPOSITE STRUCTURE UNDER UNAXIAL POWER LOADING

Abstract. Temperature fields in organic-fiber-reinforced plastics in their quasi-static uniaxial tension are studied. A thermorheological model describing the heat evolution under irreversible deformation is proposed. A part of dissipated energy to be expended on heating is determined. A method for calculating unsteady temperature fields, considering the thermal effect of accumulating microdefects in an organic-fiber-reinforced plastic, is proposed. The analysis of temperature fields in samples with stress concentrators is carried out, and temperature fields calculated and obtained experimentally during ultimate tension testing are compared.
