OPTIMIZATION OF ULTRASONIC DEVICE PARAMETERS FOR MEASUREMENTS OF LUBRICANTS VISCOSITY FOR IN-LINE CONDITION DIAGNOSTICS OF MACHINE EQUIPMENT. Part 3

Abstract. In order to choice optimum conditions of excitation/receiving of informative signals at automatic ultrasonic viscosity and density meas-urements of liquids, the dependence of elastic impulse temporary forms of horizontal polarizated and simmetrical Lamb wave zero modes on electric and acoustic conditions of their excitations is studied. Electric excitation of normal wave at frequencies of 1,0...2,5 MHz was carried out with the generator of a fast discharge of capacity and with a generator of rechtangular impulses with the varied duration. Angle beam transducers and X-cut piezoplates pasted to a waveguide and radiating longitudinal waves in the direction perpendicular to waveguide symmetry axis are used as ultrasonic transducers. It is shown that the best results are reached using as electrical source the generator of rectangular impulses with the varied duration and as acoustical source – angle beam transducers for exitation of horizontal polarizated and Lamb's symmetrical waves and for excitation of Lamb's asymmetrical waves – two X-cut piezoplates symmetrized on both sides of a wave-guide and radiating longitudinal waves towards each other.
