Abstract. The article describes a device designed to detect defects in the aircraft skin, the principle of its operation the processing of received signals, the analysis undertaken by scanning the object of control oscillations.  Results of the analysis undertaken by scanning the object of control vibrations from each point of the object  surface with a certain control increments in the scanning direction. In memory of the equipment is kept three informative parameter of each pair of adjacent array elements gives the line of an image consisting of points, which will in some way show information about the properties of the control zone of the object. A constructive solution provides a stable  monoblock of device with all four wheels on the surface of the object of control is not only a cylindrical shape along a generator, but at an acute angle to it, as well as on the surface of the conical, spherical and more complex forms, but with a local minimum allowable radius of curvature.

Keywords: scanning, topography, ultrasonic vibrations, Lamb waves, color coding, analysis of oscillations.
