ALGORITHMS OF AERODYNAMIC AND AEROELASTIC VIBRATIONS DIAGNOSTICS IN COMPRESSOR OF GAS TURBINE ENGINE

Abstract. When operating a gas turbine engine, the aerodynamic and aeroelastic vibrations (rotating stall and flutter respectively) can occur in a compressor on some special conditions. This paper is based on a research of informative diagnostic parameters. The engine tests were performed on the test bench with a crosswind generator. During the tests the insensitivity of the fan blades to the flutter was analyzed in the wide range of operational modes. The limits of the gasdynamic stability were also determined. The algorithms of aerodynamic and aeroelastic vibrations diagnostics were developed based on the research. One of the algorithms uses damping parameters to perform diagnostics of aerodynamic and aeroelastic vibrations. Another is based on a parameter with high sensitivity to changes in the technical condition of the gas turbine engine parts.
