INNOVATIVE METHODS AND TECHNOLOGIES OF NDT IN INDUSTRY. WCNDT 2016

Abstract. It is briefly reviewed the status of research in the Russian Federation of innovative methods and technologies of NDT in leading industries. It is shown that in space engineering the serious attention is paid to the quality of welded, brazed and detachable joints, requiring fundamentally new in the development of methods, technologies, solutions and tools of NDT, such as laser and ultrasonic inspection of solder joints and the diagnosis of residual stresses in special materials, method of acoustic strain measurement detachable joints. It is reported on the development and enactment of the State standard GOST R 52889–2007 “Non-Destructive Testing. The acoustic method of control efforts tightening threaded connections. General requirements”, regulating the application of the method of acoustic strain measurement detachable joints. The welds performed by resistance spot welding are widely used in the automotive, shipbuilding and electronics industries. The complex of non-destructive testing methods, especially the method of ultrasonic testing technology UAE, are used for its quality control. The studies of methods of ultrasonic testing of castings from nodular cast iron used for the manufacture of containers for storage of spent nuclear fuel, control of welded seams and metal nuclear power plants with the use of phased antenna arrays. The article summarizes the main results of the authors research papers presented on the 19th World Conference on Non-Destructive Testing in space engineering, nuclear power and other industries. It is shown that the studies conducted by Russian scientists and experts of non-destructive testing, the use of information technology in the processing of information and the development of controls meet modern requirements.
