MICROFOCUS X-RAY TUBES OF NEW GENERATION
(pp. 4 - 8)

Abstract. Microfocus X-ray radiography was formed in our country during the second half of the 20th century as a way of obtaining the enlarged X-ray images of the objects of nondestructive testing. The special X-ray tubes with a focal spot of micron size are used To implement it. Thanks to a number of features that occur during the formation of the X-ray image, microfocus X-ray radiography allows to fundamentally improve informational content of the snapshots. However, low power of domestic microfocus X-ray tubes significantly limits the field of its application. The article analyzes the ways to increase the power and radiation intensity of the X-ray tubes. The results of the development of three types of microfocus tubes of new generation: domestic tube with a rotating anode and electronical control of the focal spot sizes; microfocus X-ray tube with a stationary anode with a record value of high voltage and microfocus X-ray tube of transmitting type with anode which remotes from the vacuum balloon. It is given some applications of the developed tubes, including in the part of the domestic microfocus X-ray computed tomograph.

Keywords: microfocus tube with rotating anode, fixed anode, cross anode.
