METROLOGICAL SUPPORT IN NDT EQUIPMENT PRODUCTION

Abstract. One of changes in the new version ISO 9001:2015 concerns metrological support requirements. The previous version ISO 9001:2008 included the firm requirement for registration and an assessment of the measurements results received on the faulty equipment. The corresponding point 7.6 ISO 9001:2008 “The monitoring and measurements equipment control” also contained the firm requirement for these obligatory records control. Similar requirements in the new ISO 9001:2015 version are softened. The organization has to define now only competency of the previous measurement results if it was revealed that the measuring equipment is unsuitable for application on his direct appointment. And then the organization can take the corresponding actions if it is necessary. There is obviously not enough in real working conditions. The work purpose is to fulfill requirements for metrological support of the measuring equipment functional suitability and the required accuracy in the NDT equipment (mobile industrial gamma-ray detectors) production based on EMI, JSC (Moscow). That is why the task is to confirm standards coherence in the certified management system conditions and to develop recommendations about the monitoring and measurements resource management. The works complex on the integrated management system preparation, introduction and certification has been carried out in EMI, JSC. It has been analytically and continuity confirmed the majority of metrological support requirements have passed from previous ISO 9001:2008 into the new version ISO 9001:2015 as a result.  The coordinated application of requirements for metrological support (GOST R 8.820) and monitoring and measurements resources (ISO 9001:2015) was used in the NDT equipment (mobile industrial gamma-ray detectors) production based on EMI, JSC (Moscow). It is shown that it is necessary to keep surely the firm requirement for registration and an assessment of the measurements results received on the faulty equipment. And system actions concerning risks and opportunities at measurements need to be reflected in the Ensuring Quality Program.
