HEAT METHOD FOR ESTIMATING THE MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY STABILITY FOR COMPOSITE PRODUCTS DURING ITS MASS PRODUCTION
(pp. 20-24)

Abstract. A method for integral estimation of the stability of manufacturing technology and structures of polymer composite products by the analysis ofan information field to be registered by the nondestructive testing system has been developed. It can be used to control the stability of a structureand technology of manufacturing complex polymer composite constructionsboth in the process of its production and during the operation. Using the method is especially efficient when testing the potentially dangerous and expensive-manufacture structures such as hermetic vessels, pipelines, etc. Such polymer composite products, on the one hand, should conform to high quality criteria and, on the other hand, they are made in sufficient large volumes and they are expensive and labor-intensive. Therefore, the nondestructive testing process for detecting theflaws in each product reduces the productivity, and destructive methods increase the cost of products that is not always acceptable. In serial or largeserial production of articles, not detection of local discontinuities (defects) in a material can be foremost, butthe high-productive integral estimation of the stability of product manufacturing technology, which bears information about the product quality. The method presented in the paper is based on the study of products for large volumes of production and thereby makes it possible to determine that moment in production when the structure and manufacturing technology begin to fall off from given standard indices as well asto reveal potentially dangerous places (structural units) which, in the first instance, can be destroyed (owing to the change of the structure or other reasons). The essence of this method consists of the comparative analysis of information fields (including temperature fields) of various productsduring its production. If the change in the product instability criterion based on the special treatment of temperature fields is small, it is concluded about the stability of manufacturing technology, otherwise the conclusion about violating of manufacturing technology is given. The data analysis algorithm was introduced into the IRPreview software of the IRTIS-200 thermograph that made it a specialized complex of heat nondestructive testing designed to controlthe manufacturing technology stability for large volumes of production.
