DETERMINING THE PRIORITY OF CARRYING OUT REPAIRS TO THE RING WELDED JOINTS OF THE MAIN GAS PIPELINES LINEAR PART
(pp. 48-52)

Abstract. At present, when planning repair work at the facilities of the main gas pipelineslinear part, the criticality of defects can be determined taking into account the requirements of the following corporate standards PJSC Gazprom: STO Gazprom 2-2.3-112–2007, STO Gaz-prom 2-2.3-173–2007, STO Gazprom 2-2.3-292–2009, “Guidelines for the evaluation of pipe defects and connecting parts of pipelines ...” 2013. These standards allow us to assess the admissibility, criticality and timing of safe operation of pipes with defects in the base metal. Admissibility of defects in welded joints is estimated in accordance with STO Gaz-prom 2-2.4-083–2006, STO Gazprom 2-2.4-715–2013, while the assessment of the criti-cality and the timing of safe operation in these standards is not provided. There is a need to develop methods for assessing the criticality of defects and the durability of welded joints with various types of defects, with a view to determining the priority of carrying out repair work at main gas pipelineslinear part facilities. This will increase the effectiveness of making managerial decisions when planning repair and diagnostic work. Allows to reduce costs when optimizing the planning of the main gas pipelineslinear partobjects repairs after carrying out diagnostic work.

Keywords: main gas pipelines, defects of welded joints, forecasting of safe operation period, low cycle fatigue.
