QUESTIONS ON OPTIMUM REMOTE SENSING OF METHANE CLOUDE IN ZONE OF LEAKAGE FROM MAIN GAS PIPELINE
(pp. 46-49)

Abstract. The task of optimization of remote sensing of methane cloud over the gas leakage from gas pipelines is formulated and solved. The informativeness of sensing system is accepted like a criterion of optimization. It is assumed that the sensing device is located on the unmanned aerial vehicle flying over the gas pipeline according the given software. It is shown, that informativeness of the considered system designated for methane cloud remote sensing over the gas pipeline leakage sites can be optimized using the variation method of optimization taking into account some limitation conditions applied to control function of regime parameter of unmanned aerial vehicle. According to solution of optimization task formulated for set of allowed wind speeds the systems optimum regime can be carried out by way of adaptive control of the UAV flight height dependent on wind speed. The type of this function depends on meeting of formulated conditions implementation of which provide for increasing or decreasing character of dependence of flight height on wind speed. The practical recommendation following from this result is that the height of flight and character of its changing order dependent on wind speed can be determined only after checking the realization of any one of formulated conditions.
