ADVANCED TRAINING OF SPECIALISTS ON RAIL DEFECTOSCOPY
(pp. 30-36)

Abstract. The multilevel NDT system operates to avoid rail fractures and resulting incidents on the railways of JSC “Russian railways”. It consists of extensive fleet (about 4.5 thousands units) of different rail NDT articles and about 7 thousands specialists on defectoscopy providing their operation, maintenance and repair as well conducting a comprehensive analysis of huge array of constantly received rail NDT results. Modern technique is the complicated multifunctional multichannel devices. Their operation requires special knowledge and extensive practical experience. The NDT articles developers have taken to solve the problem of preparation and advanced training of rail NDT specialists. JSC “Radioavionica” Training Center (St-Petersburg) is one of popular centers.
