Abstract. The article provides brief information about the conference held in VIAM on the application of basic methods of non-destructive testing in the aerospace industry. The study of the properties of new materials, their performance is impossible without the use of modern means of non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics. Development of methods is connected with automation of processes, introduction of digital technologies and improvement of normative documents. A summary of the plenary reports is provided.
