MONITORING OF ELASTIC AND MASS CHARACTERISTICS OF BLADES OF GAS TURBINE ENGINE AS AN APPROACH TO REDUCE VIBRATION STRAIN AND TO PROVIDE STABILITY TO FLUTTER
(pp. 34-37)

Abstract. This paper is about research of efficiency of design methods oriented to ensure stability of row of blades of gas turbine engine to flutter, reduction of vibration strain of blades. Reduction of flexure-torsion coupling of blades is achieved by buckling of airfoil and redistribution of its mass to converge center of mass and center of rigidity for each cross-section of the blade. Proposed methods and results of CAE research can be useful for specialists involved with design and strength tuning of gas turbine engines.

Keywords: monitoring of elastics and mass characteristics, gas turbine engine, blade, vibration strain, stability to flutter, frequency of oscillations, flexure-torsion coupling.
