ALGORITHM TO GENERATE GAUGE BLOCK SETS BASED ON THE METHOD OF LAGRANGE MULTIPLIERS
(pp. 45-51)

Abstract. The results of the analysis of existing gauge block sets proposed by domestic and foreign manufacturers for metrological support of various enterprises are presented. We construct dependencies to determine sizes of groups of gauge block sets, taking into account the sizes of blocks and gradations of the sizes in groups, as well as a dependence for finding the total length are constructed. We propose an approach to assign size ranges of the largest measures in groups that allows reducing the amount of computational operations when searching for optimal sets for a given total number of blocks in a set. The implementation of the proposed approach is confirmed by concrete examples of the formation of both existing and new sets, with an assessment of the formed sets according to a number of criteria from our early publications that take into account the operational and cost characteristics.

Keywords: gauge block, gauge block set, algorithm for forming a set.
