ELECTRO-CONTACT SAMPLING FOR THE ANALYSIS OF HIGH-ALLOY STEELS USING OPTICAL EMISSION SPECTROMETER PAPUAS-4
(pp. 50-53)

Abstract. It is presented a method of electro-contact sampling for optical emission spectral analysis of high-alloy steels. The advantage of this sampling is a possibility to study bulky samples without any need to cut the fragments for the analysis. It is shown that this method allows measuring elements contents without substantial degrading of measurement accuracy and repeatability. It is also shown that matrix effects for some elements are smaller than in case of analysis of bulk samples.

Keywords: sampling, sample preparation, optical emission spectroscopy (OES), high-alloy steel, alloys analysis, atomic spectroscopy, matrix effects, chemometrics, regression analysis.
